If you have been to Bali, odds are you've seen offerings placed by Balinese Hindus everywhere around temples, shrines, houses or on the ground. They are called Canang Sari, and they are meant to thank Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa for the peace given to the world. The offering symbolizes self-sacrifice for the time and effort that has been taken to prepare them. It's a daily offering done in the morning (Unless a death has occurred in the community or family).
These photos were taken at a marketplace in Ubud.
