Panorama
This is a panoramic composite of almost all of the firework photos I shot this Chinese new year on the roof. It was a little crazy but I took each firework individually from each photo and pasted them into their proper positions in this panorama. It was a lot of work and it took about 2 hours to complete but I thought it was a cool idea to show everything in a single photo.

Fireworks
The sky this Chinese new year was once again marked with hundreds of fireworks from every direction. It was brighter and louder than it was last year with the occasional firework exploding overhead as I sat on my neighbor's roof.
It might be difficult to tell the difference if you compared them but the show this year left me stunned as I watched the fireworks in awe. The added advantage I had this year was the use of a wireless remote trigger coupled with BULB mode on the camera. Some of these shots were exposed for over 3 minutes.
It's just one of those things that you just had to be there to see for yourself. Nobody wanted to be outdone and it resulted in yet another spectacular display.
Happy Chinese New Year 2012!!

Year Of The Dragon
Ikhwan, Mahira, Brenda, my sister and myself decided to go out for our first photo session in months. We've been very busy with exams and now we finally have the time to go out. We returned to the same rocky hill that Mahira, Nadine and myself went to in a previous post this time with a chinese theme for the coming Chinese New Year. We arrived late and we only had very little time before we started to feel the scorch of the midday sun.
We
spent a total of 40 minutes there and there really wasn't enough time
to work on every pose in detail. Everything was rushed because we just
wanted to get out of the sun as soon as we could. I felt so rusty
because of the lack of portrait sessions. Still, I'm glad that we had the
opportunity to go out together and credits to my sister for being the model and everyone else for all of the
help provided throughout the shoot.
Note: I forgot to mention that the fans were actually red. I just changed them to match the color of the dress :)

Black & Yellow
Anyway, these are some photos I got when I chased a Golden Birdwing butterfly (I'm not really sure though but they do look similar) around the garden for several minutes. I was using the 17-55 at the time so I couldn't really get close up shots of it because it kept flying away every time I stood too close.
