Wedding : Chung & Theresa

These are some shots from the recent wedding I joined to shoot with Richard and Willie. It was a beautiful ceremony and it was the first time I have been to a full traditional Chinese wedding. I was tasked to shoot from the groom's house earlier during the day and later joined the rest as the groom's family headed for the bride's house. After the traditional activities were done, we continued to a chapel where the wedding ceremony was held. Congratulations to the newly wedded couple!

On another note, the little dilemma that I was in has ended as I can only take four subjects this semester. The extra subject that I was going to take was prioritized for final year students and basically the system removed it from my registered subjects list, and other subjects on offer clash with each other (maybe it's some sort of a sign).

Here We Stand

I haven't been able to update recently because I have been busy with a wedding shoot and I still need to sort out and edit a bunch of photos after having spent most of yesterday editing as much as I could. There are a couple more things I have planned for the next few days and it's interesting that things are now finally starting to pick up as the new semester is about to start.

Night Lights

Waiting for Sunset

Went out to shoot some photos with Ki Choy, Ikhwan, Joanna and my sister last friday. It rained again so we had to improvise and change the initial theme. I was way too desperate to go out and take pictures that I was not going to consider postponing :p

It was still raining when we got there but thankfully it stopped after a while :) Actually, we were lucky it rained because the overcast sky produced much softer light. I still have more to post but I will leave it at this for now :D

Feels Like Old Town

A couple of pictures in old town quite a while back. I haven't been to any outings recently. I got my Canon 430EXII back from repair yesterday and when I went home and checked it, the main problem is fixed but I realized that the AF-assist lamp stopped working. I sent it back to the shop today and they apologized and now I have to wait while they fix it.

Table For None

Recent weeks have made me think about what the future would be like. Uncertainty keeps me anxious, while my thoughts float away to far off places where I would rather be.

Me, my sister, Bernard, and Ki Choy spent today at Ikhwan's house "Jamming" hahahaha. He has a music room so we were thinking we could jam there.

It was pretty fun

we sounded bad xD

but as long as it was fun :p

Lights and Flares

Ahh, the Waterfront. There's always something to photograph there. :D

I finally got to take that rainbow flare that I always wanted in that last photo. I only discovered it by accident :p

Exams are coming soon :s so I might not have too much time to edit because I will be studying.

The Sushi Express

This was taken in a Japanese Restaurant in City Mall with the Nikon Coolpix S210. I was trying to make the sushi train look like a real train. hahaha. I used the Alien Skin: Bokeh plug-in for adobe photoshop to blur the background.

I just got back home. There's so many things to do tomorrow; I gotta pay my semester fee which I completely forgot about, pass up my assignment, get a haircut, and get ready for the Unitar Annual Dinner which was themed:"Hollywood Red Carpet" coming up this Saturday.

And right after the annual dinner, im switching to Study Mode. It feels so dangerous going to class totally unable to focus.

Well not all classes just two...

Waterfront Bokeh

It isn't often that I go to waterfront for dinner. Its really expensive there once you start ordering from Toscani's or that indian shop that I completely forgotten what the name was...
The last time I was at the waterfront, I hadn't bought my 50mm f/1.8 lens so this time around it was much more fun :) I just love lenses that can take low light pictures :D .

It renders flashes unnecessary for one thing. Just got inspired seeing all the candles and color lights everywhere. The one problem was that, even at f/1.8, its still really dark at the waterfront so i set my iso speed at 1600. Noise reduction was turned off.

I wish I could type more but my mind is too busy now and im just too tired.

Lost in Bokeh

Bokeh if you didn't already know is derived from Japanese, meaning blurred or fuzzy.
These images are blurred lights of street lights and car lights. This effect is caused when the image is taken when the subject is out of the focus range of the camera lens.
