A couple of weeks ago, Mahira, Ikhwan and I decided to bring our friend Nerry for a night time portrait session. It was really close to exam week so I didn't have much time to go through all the photos after the shoot. Now that exams are over, I can finally upload these.
These photos were shot at a driveway to a parking complex and well, we had to dodge the cars that were occasionally driving up and down the road. It was pretty funny actually. But maybe not to the drivers because I'm sure I caught some of them looking annoyed as they drove by.
This is the first time any of us used wireless flash photography outdoors and at night so we all made rookie mistakes. It was good experience for all of us and hopefully now that the holidays are here we could build on that. Credits to Mahira and Ikhwan for helping out with the lights and model poses as well as Nerry for being our model.
The UK FunFair is back again in Kota Kinabalu and we just had to go and check it out for ourselves. I went a little crazy on the cross processed look of the images, sorry :) Anyways, we had a great time there, some of us won a couple of things at the ring toss, I got the ring on the red bottle (third last photo, credits to Wanda) and I won a big Hello Kitty doll which I proceeded to hand over to Brenda. The rides looked cool, well not all, I went on close to the lamest ride which was called sudden impact. I didn't go on the space gun ride though (yes I know it is the most awesome ride there).
I hadn't been taking pictures in a while and it showed how rusty I was that night.
Hey everyone! sorry for the lack of updates. I have been busy again catching up with assignments and errands that I haven't found much time to get to editing to update my blog.
These are some photos from an stormy evening spent at the Sunset Bar, Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort. We were having some drinks while we listened to music from Papi Johntoy and Dj Kumar.
Here are some photos of fireworks a few hours ago. These are pretty much the only ones that I had the chance to photograph and they are not the best shots I have ever caught. I celebrated the new year at my Grandmother's house but I couldn't get a clear shot of enough fireworks because they were mostly blocked by other houses, surrounding trees or they were just too far.
These photos are heavily cropped and I apologize for the poor quality. I'm hoping to get better photos during the coming Chinese New Year :)

Fish and Chips sits in a row with many other restaurants and bars where tourists frequent at Changkat, Bukit Bintang. The dishes served there mainly western food. The fish and chips were delicious, and it took some effort to finish because of the generous portion. So, if you ever do find yourself in Changkat, be sure to drop by and give the place a try.

Another photo from the same shoot at Tanjung Aru. All of the lights were from the well positioned building spotlights. Didn't need to use a flash on this one.
Spent the past few days doing nothing but the combination of playing games and writing notes for my last exam paper this coming saturday.
Got addicted to Angry Birds all over again since I have it on my computer now :)
I went on another photo shoot with Mahira and Nadine last wednesday. We were expecting to shoot during the day but then it rained all the way till evening and in the end we wound up in Tanjung Aru.
I didn't bring my transmitter then so I didn't get as good a result as I wanted with lighting. I had to bounce the flash off a reflector to try and get the effect right but it was pretty difficult and it mostly failed. I still like the pictures though, many thanks to Mahira and Suhaimi for helping out with the reflector :D I really appreciate it.
Exams aren't over by the way. My last paper is on the 7th of May :/
I will post a couple more photos in the next entry.
