Exams are over and I finally found some time to get photos uploaded :) The tiny specks in these photos are the planet Venus (Which I figured using Google Sky Map Application) during twilight.
Hey everyone! sorry for the lack of updates. I have been busy again catching up with assignments and errands that I haven't found much time to get to editing to update my blog.
These are some photos from an stormy evening spent at the Sunset Bar, Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort. We were having some drinks while we listened to music from Papi Johntoy and Dj Kumar.
Some photos from a short trip to the beach to watch the sunset.
Some interesting cloud formation about two weeks ago. It doesn't occur too often in such a large scale around here and after a little research I found them to be called
Altocumulus clouds. These were taken at around noon and they slowly faded away a few hours later.
I haven't done any photo shoots recently and I'm dying to try out some new ideas :) In the meantime, I will just be posting photos of other subjects.
Selamat Hari Raya!
Dramatic cloud formation surrounding the moon during twilight. Shot these yesterday.
Some shots of the moon during twilight. It's exam week so I have have
sort of quarantined myself at home to study :p I have my first paper tomorrow and my next paper will be on Friday. It will be holiday after that but for now, I gotta continue studying.
Bernard and I went on the roof yesterday night to view the
lunar eclipse. It was a cloudy and freezing night. I shot some photos of the moon before it entered the eclipse phase but it disappeared behind the clouds at 2.50am. It wasn't until 3.47am when the clouds slightly cleared and revealed the moon but this time with an eerie reddish glow.
I started taking pictures but the moon was still in the early stages of the eclipse. It vanished again at 3.55am until way past the total eclipse climax which was predicted to be at 4.15am. I waited desperately till 4.47am but to no avail. The clouds didn't clear up so I decided called it quits.
It was fun at least, although only being able to see it for several minutes. We also found out that it was actually quite nice to fall asleep on the roof.
The first photo was shot before the eclipse and the second photo was during the eclipse. I couldn't get any closer shots because I don't have a lens that could zoom far enough. I was using my Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens that night.
Here are some nice cloud photos that I took recently. I haven't gone on any photo shoots as well so there isn't much to update. My internet is busted and I'm posting this from starbucks :/

Shot these one evening last month.

To be honest I really didn't know what to expect when I was on the way to Kasih Sayang Health Resort with Ki Choy, Ikhwan and Joanna. It was just a last minute decision to check out the place and I was the only one with a camera.
When we arrived, we were treated to a spectacular panoramic view of the whole of Kota Kinabalu from end to end. It felt strange to be able to see Tanjung Aru and One Borneo at the same time. The panorama I shot very much pales in comparison to the real view. You just have to be there to see it.

I shot this the same night as the previous post :D We were just leaving city mall when we spotted the clouds surrounding the moon in a peculiar manner.
It actually formed a rectangular shape around the moon but the clouds were moving so fast, it was already like this by the time I got a shot of it.
It looks like this week is set to be a pretty busy one with assignments due and quizzes to prepare for. I wish I had time for photo shoots.
Grawr! I need futsal >:(

If you live around Kota Kinabalu, then you might have noticed yesterday that there was a lot of lightning in the clouds which lasted almost the whole night.
I was in the car when I snapped this photo. It was pretty difficult to do because the car was constantly moving but I kept shooting every time I saw a flash in the clouds and luckily enough I caught this one with some lightning. I did catch more photos with lightning but they were too little or just blurred.
The lightning came around at random intervals of around 3-7 seconds apart. With very little or no thunder most of the time from where I was viewing it.
Shutter settings used were 1/25 at f/2.2 @ ISO 1600

Here's a photo I took a few nights back while hanging out with Bernard on the roof while talking about conspiracy theories.
The photo does have a slight motion blur to it which might have been caused by the strong wind that night. The exposure used was 15 seconds at ISO 800.

I don't often take photos of clouds but I couldn't help but notice this one in the sky :D
I'm gonna be really busy the rest of this week until the next so I might update only when I have the time.

Gah! I have been sick for the past couple of days and its getting annoying. This morning I had my English class group presentation. I'm happy with the team, we did pretty well, even though I sounded very nasal :p
