I went on another photo shoot with Mahira and Nadine last wednesday. We were expecting to shoot during the day but then it rained all the way till evening and in the end we wound up in Tanjung Aru.
I didn't bring my transmitter then so I didn't get as good a result as I wanted with lighting. I had to bounce the flash off a reflector to try and get the effect right but it was pretty difficult and it mostly failed. I still like the pictures though, many thanks to Mahira and Suhaimi for helping out with the reflector :D I really appreciate it.
Exams aren't over by the way. My last paper is on the 7th of May :/
I will post a couple more photos in the next entry.
Happy Easter everyone! :D
Shot these at the same location as the previous post. I wanted to post these sooner but I completely forgot. I have been studying for my exam this coming Monday and Tuesday.
Which reminds me, I have to go study now.
Mahira brought me on a photo shoot last Monday with Nadine as the model. I went nuts when we got to the location :D It looked amazing and was a great change from the usual but it was too bad that we couldn't stay as long as we liked to. We went quite a way away from the theme but this has to be one of the best photo shoots to date, the only problem was that the sun was scorching hot.
Mahira and I took turns to hold up the reflector during the shoot. I was really psyched up about getting the blue sky in the background so we went higher up the rocky hill.
It was really bright on the day so it made it difficult to get consistent lighting on the photos. Big thanks to Nadine for going out in the sun for us and Mahira for bringing us to this place. I cant wait go back again.
It was a great day overall, totally worth the sunburn :)
I made some changes to the blog which wanted to do for a very long time. Don't get freaked out by the large images in posts, your computer isn't broken, the settings were changed to show them larger since I widened the blog width :)
I really should be studying right now, been living on the edge since last semester always studying in the eleventh hour.
Shot these photos quite a while back, I almost forgot that I still have them. Didn't use a macro lens but I used the kit lens in reverse position. I have done this before in an
older post. It gives the effect of a macro lens by shortening the minimum focus distance.
I've also been getting the hang of using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Guess the initial reaction I had to seeing a very simple interface made me think that it was much more complicated than it really was. In the end it only took a couple of hours to get used to. All of these were edited in Lightroom 3.
Took some time to watch the sunset yesterday :)
The past week has been interesting to say the least. My mum's car broke down in the middle of the road while I was on the way to uni. It had to be towed and sent to the workshop. We then borrowed another car, but that one eventually found its way to the workshop as well after only a day of use.
I forgot I had a test today during Critical Thinking class but it was more than manageable. There was only multiple choice questions in it. The waiter got my order wrong twice this morning at the restaurant so I just ate whatever he gave because I couldn't wait any more.
I also said goodbye to my friends after breakfast and was on the way home when I realized that I forgot to pay for what I ordered.
Oh and I ripped my shirt sleeve on a metal wire when I got home :\
These are my favourite photos during sunset from the Power to the People Party at the Tanjung Aru First Beach. There were actually more people in the first photo but I got rid of them in Photoshop :D
Exams are coming soon :O I have two papers on the same day and my last exam paper is a week after that *sigh*
