Waiting For Tomorrow

I wish I had more to post. I took this photo on a hill nearby my house. The plants there are growing like mad because of the strange weather.

A Summer Reverie

I haven't found the time for any photography this week. Exercises and assignments have continued to pile on and I'm pretty annoyed because I never had this much work to do in a short semester.

Tanjung Aru Shoot : Abandoned House

The Unirazak Photography Club (UPC) organized a shoot saturday morning which was mainly carried out around what we deemed to be an abandoned house in the Tanjung Aru area. (There was an Astro dish on the roof so we were wondering whether it really was or not)

The shoot went well, thanks to all the members and models who did a great job. We ended the shoot at about 10.30am and went for some food and drinks at a restaurant in the second beach.

Note: Group photo was taken by Ki Choy.

A Reason

The past few days have been quite a busy time for me what with uni work beginning to pile up and the world cup keeping me up to the early hours of the morning.

This photo was taken looking out from a window at a Times bookstore while I was in Suria Sabah Mall.

Canon BG-E5 Battery Grip

After weeks of contemplation, I finally went out and bought myself a battery grip. You can check out the full review here. The grip does add significant weight and size to the camera so it will take me a while to get used to :)

The main function of the grip enables the use of two battery packs to increase battery life for the camera.

Another function is that it allows me to shoot with a vertical shutter release so that It feels just as comfortable to shoot in a vertical (portrait) as shooting in horizontal (landscape) orientation.

This photo was simple enough to take. I only needed to set the camera on a styrofoam board and for the light, I used a DIY lightbox.

Wedding Portraiture : Fenny & Rizan

These are some photos from Fenny & Rizan's wedding. I have never been to a Muslim wedding before so this has been a valuable experience for me.

I was shooting the wedding with Ki Choy. Everything went smoothly and I learned a lot from it.

Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort Shoot II

Here's a couple of photos from a shoot last Saturday with Sasha and a few of her friends. I also had to shoot a wedding on that same day and the next so I had a lot of things to do.

Reaching Across Time

I haven't been able to update my blog because I have been swamped with so much work lately.

I'll try to get more photos up as soon as I can :)

Wedding Portraiture: Alcy & Richard

This is my first time being an official photographer for a wedding event. I tried my best and learned plenty, but there's still more to learn. The wedding was held in Tambunan and the dinner was held two days later in Keningau.

Everything went pretty well but now I have to go through over 1500 photos and the new uni semester starts tomorrow so once again im gonna be really busy.
