The trip to Kuala Penyu was absolutely amazing. We had so much fun, there wasn't any time for rest.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves thanks to the hard work from the committee and all the members who made the outing a success as well as Quenie for her excellent modelling work.
This is my favorite shot from the outing. The dark cloudy sky added a sense of high dynamic range to the photo as diffused sunlight from the left gave a very soft feel to the image.
Note: Ki Choy's
blog is going to be active again. He's got tonnes of photos to upload and God knows they have been collecting dust in his hard drive ;) Be sure to check out the blog soon.
It took me a couple of minutes to realize this grasshopper when I was going around taking pictures of the flowers :S
I will be uploading a couple of my favorite pictures from Kuala Penyu soon. Right now I'm just checking if there are any more that I might have overlooked.
This was shot at the Tanjung Aru beach. I really wanted to get a good shot of the fountain but even with the aperture set at f/2.8 I couldn't get a shallow enough depth to blur out the restaurant which was much too close behind it.
In the end I just used photoshop to create a radial blur around the fountain to isolate it from the background.
Exam is over! :D
I shot this photo when I was in Kuala Penyu. I looked downwards into what used to be a swimming pool and saw that the perspective made these frogs look as if they were breakdancing.
My exams will start on Monday and end on Friday next week. I might not be able to post anymore till then.
These are a couple of shots from a recent trip to Kuala Penyu :)
This is the last set of the series. I processed these with sepia just as the previous post (don't worry, Its not going to turn into a habit) :p
I decided to turn these into sepia because I like the way the tones blend together. Exams are coming soon and its the final one for my foundation course.
My sister and I went for a photo shoot a couple of days ago. I felt so out of touch with my photography that I just needed to go out and take some photos.
The shoot took about half an hour. It ended really quick because we couldn't stand being continuously bitten by the mosquitoes.
Nevertheless there were quite a few shots I liked so I decided to split them into 3 posts :)
Chester got into a fight with some other dogs in my neighborhood a few days ago. He came out worst after being attacked by three dogs. Luckily, Ki Choy was also there to help when it all happened.
I just arrived home with Ki Choy and my sister when the three dogs made their way towards our house gate and tried to pick a fight with Chester and Happy from the outside. They somehow caused the gate to slide open and Chester was the first to run towards the three dogs and right behind him was Happy who bravely followed him into the fray.
I was still in the car as I saw the both of them running out of the house. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I panicked and jumped out of the car. Ki Choy and I ran straight towards the dogs to stop them fighting. Of course it is dangerous to run straight into a dog fight but there was no time to waste.
After it was all over, Mum and my sister applied medicine on Chester's wounds. Happy was barely injured.
A few days have passed and Chester is much better now :)
